About
Story

I began building geospatial software at Agrisoft in 2005, then moved into front-end work at XHTMLized. Over the next two decades I led technology teams in travel and healthcare, worked on Liputan6 and Vidio at KMK, led the front-end team at Gojek's GoLife, shaped front-end architecture at Bukalapak, and became head of engineering at Pinhome.
My startup years taught me how to build from scratch: products, teams, and the ways they worked together. In travel and healthcare, I worked closely with business and product teams to turn ideas into working products. At CelliHealth, that meant connecting a Singapore-based product team with engineering in Indonesia, travelling regularly to Singapore to work through priorities and decisions together.
Working across countries started earlier, during my years at XHTMLized. I collaborated remotely with colleagues across Australia, Europe, Canada and the US. Those experiences shaped how I lead: give people clear context, build trust, and connect technical decisions to the problem we're trying to solve.
Somewhere along the way the job changed from building systems to building the teams and practices that build systems, and then to helping organizations decide what is worth building at all. That last question is most of what I work on now. As Head of AI for SCM at Emtek, I focus on finding the business problems where AI can help, shaping a portfolio of experiments around them, and getting the useful ones into real workflows.
A lot of that work is connecting business context with product and engineering decisions. Teams do better work when they understand the problem and have room to own the outcome. At Pinhome, introducing Shape Up helped put that principle into practice across product, design and engineering.
I'm still hands-on. I prototype, wire up agents and automations, and build small tools, partly because it's fun and partly because it's the fastest way I know to tell what is real from what is a demo.
Ideas I keep returning to: start with the problem, not the technology; make experiments cheap; and give teams real ownership of outcomes. Shape Up, Cynefin and Extreme Ownership have each shaped how I work.
Outside work I coach archery on weekends, follow the UFC, and support Arsenal.

AI training at Emtek
I've delivered AI training for Emtek leadership and teams across News and Moji, from larger workshops to smaller sessions. The focus is on helping teams identify real business problems where AI can be useful and apply it in everyday work, while keeping human judgment at the centre.
